On November 21, the associations Sportfiskarna and Säveåns Flugfiskesällskap invited to the annual event with Salmon Walk at Säveån. Partille Energis CEO Mikael Jednell was one of many interested participants.
Since the turn of the year 2023/2024, Partille Energi Jonsered Power Station. With local electricity production in Partille, the vulnerability of energy supply is reduced, while the power station itself is a cultural heritage that has been in operation since 1902. As the owner, we want Partille Energi also actively contribute to ensuring that the natural values in and around the Säveån are protected in the best possible way.
– We are in dialogue with the Sportfiskarna, the Säfveåns Fly Fishing Association and the County Administrative Board with the aim of achieving improvements linked to fish migration at the power station that all parties can support, says Mikael Jednell.
Some measures have been taken in recent months. To secure flows in the lower fish ladder, a better level alarm for the water level at the power station has been set up and a fish counter has been installed at the upper fish ladder.
– More measures are underway. Among other things, an investigation is underway into whether we can set up cameras to monitor the situation at the intake to the power station to monitor the presence of smolt, the cleaning function of the grid and the flow through the fish ladder, concludes Mikael Jednell.
