In 2022, Corem started in collaboration with Partille Energi a first conversion from biogas boiler to district heating connection in its property portfolio in Partille. Since then, Corem has made two more connections to district heating and this year the fourth and final connection is planned to be completed.
At the same time as switching to district heating, the company has also modernized technical equipment such as ventilation technology to achieve even better efficiency.
– The main reason for the conversion has been energy optimization and to achieve more stable and safer operation, says Marcus Andersson, property engineer at Corem. The more stable operation also means that we do not need the alarm center, which saves time and money. There is always a concern connected to having gas combustion in properties, we now avoid that and can sleep safely at night, says Marcus.

Corem sees the conversion as an investment in line with their long-term energy and climate goals. By 2025, Corem's property management will be climate neutral in terms of property energy. The district heating connections contribute to achieving these goals as the company only purchases district heating "Good Environmental Choice". Heat consumption has also been reduced by 34% after the project was implemented in the first property where the change was made.

– We are pleased to have Corem as our district heating customer, says Mikael Jednell, CEO at Partille Energi. We are seeing increased interest from companies in Partille to connect to district heating. Operational reliability and energy optimization save both time and money for our corporate customers. This is time and money that they can then spend on their own business instead.
