The energy of the future in Partille – is there enough for everyone?

Partille Energis CEO Mikael Jednell lectures at a business breakfast.

On the theme of Future Energy in Partille - is there enough for everyone?, a business breakfast was held this week, organized by Partille Municipality.

Our CEO Mikael Jednell presented some of the areas Partille Energi working in the transition from fossil to sustainable energy and how we as a local energy company are working on Partille's future issues in energy consumption and electricity networks.

We are facing a number of major and very interesting development issues in our municipality. How do we replace fossil fuels with electrification when every other kilowatt hour used, including transportation, is fossil-dependent today? How do we increase local production? That is, how can we produce more energy here in Partille to make ourselves less dependent on energy transfers from the region and the rest of the country?

Some examples presented were:

  • Conversions from fossil heating to district heating, where, among others, the real estate company Corem is in its fourth connection to the district heating network.
  • The replacement of 15 electricity meters enables customers to monitor their consumption and make individual energy optimization via HAN-porten.
  • In Öjersjö, we have commissioned a "self-healing electricity grid" that is fully automated, providing stable and safe operation.

Did you know that Partille, with just over 40 inhabitants, has between 000-150 electric buses in operation every day! Probably the most electric buses per capita in all of Sweden!

Technological development is happening at a breakneck pace, which opens up many interesting opportunities to face the future together with us at Partille Energi!
