Partille EnergiThe announced maintenance work at the hydroelectric power plant in Jonsered is in full swing. The intake grille to the power station has been cleaned of branches, plant parts and debris, and the galvanized part of the grille will be replaced with a stainless steel grille.
When the water level in the intake canal was lowered, both the structure and some things that don't belong in water appeared, somewhere! An electric scooter, a cement pipe and the occasional road sign and other debris will be cleared away along with branches and some sly to improve the environment for fish and wildlife and to improve the flow of water in the intake canal and into the hydroelectric power plant.
Despite some littering, we would like to give Partille residents and visitors in the area between our hydroelectric power plant and Lake Aspen a compliment. There is relatively little trash and scrap in our intake channel to the hydroelectric power plant, compared to many other places in Sweden.
So, we take our hats off to the responsibility and concern for everyone's local environment! It benefits us all and above all the fish and animals that live in and around the beautiful Säveån River and Lake Aspen.
