We will send out the new terms and conditions by letter to all private customers in mid-October. They are also available for download under the heading Terms of Agreement on the Documents and forms page.
Some of the changes between previous terms and conditions and the 2025 terms
- Clearer language and structure
- The new terms and conditions are written in a more readable way, with clearer information for you as a customer.
- Identity verification requirements
- When you sign an electricity network agreement, we may ask you to confirm your identity, which was not in the 2012 terms and conditions.
- Production and energy storage
- The terms and conditions do not apply to feed into the electricity grid. Separate terms and conditions for this will be available shortly.
- Stronger customer protection in metering and billing
- The invoice amount shall be reduced by 15% if invoicing has not occurred for at least 8 months.
- If invoicing is completely absent for more than 12 months and it is due to us, we may not demand retroactive payment.
- Right to final invoice within six weeks
- When you end your contract, you will receive a final invoice within six weeks. This was also stated in 2012, but now it is more clearly regulated.
- Improved rules on compensation
- If you change electricity supplier by mistake, you will always receive at least SEK 200 in compensation.
- Clearer deadlines for when you must report damage or interruptions to receive compensation.
- Information obligation
- The grid company must provide clearer information about delivery reliability, rights to compensation and where you can find more customer information. This is a tightening up from the 2012 rules.
- Electrical safety and installations
- You are always responsible for ensuring that your electrical system is safe, but new regulations specify that installations such as solar cells, charging boxes, hot tubs, etc. must always be approved by us before connection.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that the main fuse, etc. meets your needs. You are also responsible for ensuring that what is installed in your facility complies with the agreement/invoicing.
Why are new conditions needed?
The terms and conditions have been developed by the Swedish Energy Companies organization in agreement with the Swedish Consumer Agency. They replace the current terms and conditions, which are called Network 2012 K (rev 2). The background is that there have been a number of changes in other regulations on the electricity market that have meant that the terms and conditions need to be updated. You can feel safe knowing that Partille Energi follows these conditions that are common to the entire industry.
