Work to replace approximately 350 meters of a main pipeline for district heating at Persplatsen is in full swing. Part of the project is now to complete the provisional pipeline that will supply the Vallhamra area over the summer. The work will involve some heavy traffic and traffic diversions.
In the near future, pipes will be laid around Persplatsen and welding work will begin at that time. At the same time, excavation continues in the area. At the beginning of the project, Sotenäsvägen over the mountain was closed. We rushed that part and the passage is now open again.
At the end of April, Sotenäsvägen south from Persplatsen will be closed to through traffic. The bus stop at Persplatsen will then be moved and placed outside the retirement home on Brattåskärrsvägen.
Following feedback from residents in the area, we have reduced the speed of our work vehicles to reduce disruption and inconvenience.
– We are keeping in touch with the residents who have contacted us and checking how things are working after the change. If necessary, we will make more adjustments, says project manager Anders Glimfjord.
