It is possible to sell excess electricity production to an electricity trading company. It is also possible to sell the guarantees of origin that you receive for production from renewable sources to the electricity trading company.

The Swedish Energy Agency's Solar Portal page provides more information and independent guidance on what applies when installing solar panels. The Solar Portal is aimed at single-family homeowners and commercial property owners, such as farmers and tenant-owner associations.
By micro-production we mean production facilities that are connected to the low-voltage grid at 0,4 kV. The electrical installation must have a maximum input hourly average power that does not exceed 43,5 kW and a meter fuse of max. 63 A. The input is then free of charge.
You need to have an electricity grid agreement for consumption for the facility and a meter that can collect double measurement series (consumption and production). The electricity grid company is responsible for replacing the electricity meter free of charge as soon as you have signed an electricity grid agreement.

Transmission fee: 7,00 öre/kWh
Small-scale production applies to production facilities connected to the low-voltage grid at 0,4 kV or the high-voltage grid at 10 kV.
The electrical installation must have a maximum input hourly average power that is less than or equal to 1 kW.

High voltage 10kV refers to production facilities connected to the high voltage grid at 10 kV.
The electrical installation must have a maximum input hourly average power exceeding 1500 kW.

*Subscription fee is a fixed fee charged monthly for producers who only have an electricity grid agreement for production. If the producer also has an electricity grid agreement for consumption in the facility, the fee is SEK 0.
**Metering fee is a fixed fee charged monthly and applies to producers who have production and consumption in the same facility. If only consumption meter values are collected, the fee is 0 SEK.
***Power fee is charged monthly and is based on each calendar month's highest hourly average power input.
