The number of electric cars in society is increasing rapidly, and thus the need to be able to easily charge your car is also increasing.
To facilitate the transition to a fossil-free vehicle fleet, Partillebo and Partille Energi jointly built charging stations for Partillebo's tenants and public charging stations for the general public.
In Partille municipality with just over 41 inhabitants, 000 - 150 electric buses run every day. Probably the most electric buses per capita in all of Sweden! In Järnringen there are several large depots with charging points for the buses. Smaller charging facilities are located at the bus terminal in central Partille and in Jonsered. All are connected to Partille Energis electricity grid.
Electrification of public transport means reduced emissions of harmful particles, reduced noise and a cleaner environment. Simply a more pleasant way to travel.
In 2022, Corem started in collaboration with Partille Energi the first conversion from biogas boiler to district heating connection in Corem's property portfolio in Partille. Since then, two more connections to district heating have been made.
The fourth and final connection in Partille is planned to be completed this year. At the same time, technical equipment such as ventilation technology has been upgraded to achieve even better efficiency.
Corem sees the conversion as an investment in line with their long-term energy and climate goals.
The district heating connections contribute to achieving these goals as the company only purchases district heating that is "Good Environmental Choice".
Heat consumption has also been reduced by 34% after the project was implemented in the first property where the change was made.
The main reason for the conversion has been energy optimization and to achieve more stable and secure operation, says Marcus Andersson, property engineer at Corem. The more stable operation also means that we do not need the alarm center, which saves time and money. There is always a concern connected to having gas combustion in properties, we now avoid that and can sleep safely at night, says Marcus

The nature area that extends from our hydroelectric power plant up to the dam at Lake Aspen has been nature inventoried by Partille Municipality. There are nineteen red-listed species along the route. The area is beautiful and constitutes a recreational route for Partille residents and visitors, who walk and cycle along the river between Jonsered factories and Jonsereds Herrgård.
Partille Energi has, together with Partille Municipality Culture/Leisure, set up signs with illustrations and information about the red-listed species along the river. We think it is important to highlight the fine natural values that exist, so that as many people as possible can enjoy them. We also want to spread knowledge about the biodiversity that exists in and around the water we use in our hydroelectric power plant. The project was inaugurated in early summer 2025.
We have also done a small inventory of the garden around our hydroelectric power plant to see if it is possible to develop a diversity project of the grass slopes surrounding the power plant. Invasive species were removed and a small area has been prepared to create a diversity meadow. This work includes collaboration with Stadskupan as a partner and provider of gardening and maintenance during the initial years.
A similar project has been conducted for the past four years on the Gothenburg side of the Säveån. Experience and knowledge have been gained from this project to enrich and disseminate the experiences from there.
We see an opportunity to contribute to creating long-term sustainable environments and biodiversity around our hydroelectric power plant and in this way contribute to both ecological sustainability as well as an aesthetic environmental improvement in the garden.
An ongoing work to inventory the possibility of developing study visits in and at the power plant to make the environment accessible both to our customers/interested public and to school children in Partille municipality, is being done in collaboration with Partille municipality/education unit. The goal is that all students in Partille's primary schools, at some point during their studies, should have visited the hydroelectric power plant and its surroundings. Graduating students from the electricity program at Partille high school, visit the power plant. We believe that these study visits can be developed and deepened with a presentation of the daily operation, sustainability and the contribution of power production to our electricity supply in the municipality.
Partille Energi is participating in a municipal project that has identified several centrally located tunnels that are perceived as unsafe. In the evening, the tunnels are in darkness and the municipality's residents have expressed that they are perceived as unsafe and insecure due to the lack of light, but also that the tunnels are in poor condition.
We see an opportunity to contribute to safety measures in and outside these tunnels through changed lighting. The project is ongoing.
We offer our customers district heating that is labeled Good Environmental Choice.
Through the District Heating offer marked with Good Environmental Choice, the customer only buys district heating from renewable energy and can thus report a low climate impact. For each kilowatt hour sold, money is also distributed to a fund that finances energy efficiency and conversion projects with the aim of promoting a more efficient heating system.
District heating Good Environmental Choice is an independent eco-label that contributes to a healthier nature and fewer hazardous substances in everyday products. The environmental requirements are set and monitored by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.

The Climate-Compensated District Heating option strengthens the company's environmental profile and is an environmental effort that reduces the company's carbon dioxide emissions. Climate compensation means that we compensate the company's carbon dioxide emissions for the district heating used by ensuring that a corresponding reduction in emissions occurs somewhere else in the world.
All emission rights have been reviewed and approved by EU and UN regulations.
Partille Energi has chosen to implement climate compensation through trading in emission rights in the CER (Certified Emission Reductions) system, which are certified emission reductions from CDM projects in developing countries.
The reduction units are approved in accordance with UN and EU regulations. The emission rights are cancelled annually in a cancellation account with the Swedish Energy Agency.
All the electricity we purchase to cover our electricity grid losses comes from renewable sources.

We are helping to make Knyckertzgränd possible – a place in Partille where play, literature and imagination meet. Here children and families can discover stories in new ways through a scenographic play exhibition and a children's and young people's bookstore.
Knyckertzgränd is a collaboration between several actors and Lilla Bokskåpet.
Through our partnership, we want to contribute to more enjoyable and exciting things to do at home and help create a vibrant local environment where people can meet and experience something together. On selected occasions, we also offer our customers discounted admission to the play exhibition, so that even more people have the opportunity to discover Knyckertzgränd.
We support Sävehof handball club and are an active partner of Sävehofdagen, which is an activity day during the sports holidays for those who are at home in Partille during the holidays.
The activities are free and open to the public, everyone is welcome!

Every sports break, an activity afternoon/evening is organized for preschool and elementary school children and their parents in Partille Arena.
